Sip Snapshot from Belford & Co

Chateau de Laubade is an agricultural and winegrowing estate located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the finest Bas Armagnac terroir. The 105 hectares estate in a single block around the chateau, built in 1870, it has been owned by the Lesgourgues family for three generations. Today, Denis, assisted by his sister, Jeanne, and brother, Arnaud, continue their family’s constant striving for excellence, with the aim of producing the most outstanding Armagnacs. Appearance: Light mahogany with copper hues. Nose: Profound and evolving, with prune, fig, roasted coffee, walnut, cinnamon, chocolate, and complex spice. Palate: Lush and multidimensional, combining power, finesse, and warmth. Finish: Exceptionally long with layered rancio, fruitcake, and antique wood notes. Overall: A masterful blend of eaux-de-vie showing depth, complexity, and a distinctly old-world character.
