Sip Snapshot from Belford & Co

Chateau de Laubade is an agricultural and winegrowing estate located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the finest Bas Armagnac terroir. The 105 hectares estate in a single block around the chateau, built in 1870, it has been owned by the Lesgourgues family for three generations. Today, Denis, assisted by his sister, Jeanne, and brother, Arnaud, continue their family’s constant striving for excellence, with the aim of producing the most outstanding Armagnacs. Appearance: Deep amber with mahogany glints. Nose: Rich bouquet of candied fruit, prune, dried fig, baking spice, vanilla, and toasty oak with early signs of rancio. Palate: Refined and structured, offering layers of dried fruit, toasted nuts, and spice. Finish: Long and warming, with mature complexity and subtle oxidative depth. Overall: A classic example of mature Bas Armagnac — structured, expressive, and ideal for post-dinner sipping.
