Sip Snapshot from Belford & Co

Chateau de Laubade is an agricultural and winegrowing estate located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the finest Bas Armagnac terroir. The 105 hectares estate in a single block around the chateau, built in 1870, it has been owned by the Lesgourgues family for three generations. Today, Denis, assisted by his sister, Jeanne, and brother, Arnaud, continue their family’s constant striving for excellence, with the aim of producing the most outstanding Armagnacs. Appearance: Rich amber with orange highlights. Nose: Deep and focused, with notes of dried fruit, clove, sandalwood, and pipe tobacco. Palate: Bold and structured with dried fig, leather, oak spice, and roasted hazelnut. Finish: Long and resonant with smoky undertones and warming spice. Overall: A mature, cask-strength vintage that offers both richness and refinement — powerful yet elegant.
