Sip Snapshot from Belford & Co

Chateau de Laubade is an agricultural and winegrowing estate located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the finest Bas Armagnac terroir. The 105 hectares estate in a single block around the chateau, built in 1870, it has been owned by the Lesgourgues family for three generations. Today, Denis, assisted by his sister, Jeanne, and brother, Arnaud, continue their family’s constant striving for excellence, with the aim of producing the most outstanding Armagnacs. Appearance: Dark amber with intense brilliance. Nose: Powerful and complex, with dried fig, cinnamon bark, toasted almond, and vanilla pod. Palate: Bold and structured, with layers of dried fruit, dark chocolate, and cracked pepper. Finish: Long and assertive, with a pleasantly warm, spicy tail. Overall: A high-strength vintage for the serious enthusiast — robust, layered, and full of energy.
