Sip Snapshot from Belford & Co

Chateau de Laubade is an agricultural and winegrowing estate located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the finest Bas Armagnac terroir. The 105 hectares estate in a single block around the chateau, built in 1870, it has been owned by the Lesgourgues family for three generations. Today, Denis, assisted by his sister, Jeanne, and brother, Arnaud, continue their family’s constant striving for excellence, with the aim of producing the most outstanding Armagnacs. Appearance: Mahogany with bronze reflections. Nose: Mature and complex — leather, walnut, clove, and antique varnish. Palate: Textured and deep, showing notes of dried dates, sweet tobacco, and espresso. Finish: Long and dry, with echoes of oak spice, dark fruit, and earthy rancio. Overall: A beautiful old Armagnac for those who appreciate savoury richness and secondary depth.
